I'm kind of annoyed that this is seeing a reprint in Planechase 2012 (Savage Auras): the other decks are seeing some great cards reprinted at common (Mudbutton Torchrunner, Nest Invader, Dimir Infiltrator, Tormented Soul to name but a few) that really synergise with their respective decks, we have.... Armored Griffin. It's not exactly bad, but more than a little lacking in a G/W aura deck.

I love seeing old cards reprinted out of the blue. A Portal: Second Age card returning to the game after so many years. It's rare to see old commons and uncommons make returns if they were only featured in one set- especially a set that saw such limited use. Welcome back to the game, Armored Griffin.
I still wish they'd have reprinted Drowned for Innistrad block though, instead of the flavorless functional reprint.
