I always liked this card, but it seemed a bit... bad. Fun though.

Try Test of Faith.

It would be pretty funny to run this in a modern deck with the proliferate mechanic... +0/+1 counter proliferation, lol.

I did always like this card though, a great combat trick back in the day.

Essentially designed to be used with Kjeldoran Royal Guard (or outside the set, Veteran Bodyguard). Not nearly as effective (or versatile) as Scars of the Veteran however, which came out in the following expansion.

I used to keep one or two of these in an en-Kor/Bodyguard deck alongside the aforementioned Scars, but these days I use Test of Faith instead: same type of effect, but a better creature boost that happens immediately instead of at end of turn.

Not bad in an Ice Age block draft, if nothing else.
