That...is...amazing. You can spend BB, sacrifice a token Thrull, and get something like a Prince of Thralls or some other, equally strong and expensive creature back with +2/+2. It's great even if you don't sac a Thrull. You can get a 6-7-8-9 mana creature down for BB. Great.
i feel like thrulls might actually have been a viable strategy back in empires/ice age block, with the likes of this card, basal thrull, soldevi adnate, dark ritual, breeding pit, derelor, and some big bomby black fatties like ebon praetor, not to mention other highly playable cards like hymn to tourach and dark banishing. just a thought.
This is why the Thrulls ultimately conquered all of Sarpadia. Sarpadian Thrulls are unique creatures in the sense that they are made of the harvested tissue and organs of the dead and are then brought to life. These Thrulls are used as sacrificial tools in rituals or are harvested for their tissues and organs, and in some cases, for chitinous armor.
Once they rebelled against the Ebon Hand they became their own kingdom and quickly organized into a nearly unstoppable force of constantly adapting forces made of interchangeable, easily harvested parts. They went on to dominate the other races on Sarpadia and rule the continent.
