Unlike other devourers, this can give you card advantage instead of losing it. I love this card and am currently trying to get a fourth.

Works nicely in elf combo decks and with Regal Force. The card advantage you get from eating your tapped elves and drawing the spells you need to untap your Nettle Sentinels and play more spells gives you an easy win

Great Jund card I always find myself running out of cards and this card is the perfect remedy

Essential in any and all saproling decks, works orgasmically with mycoloth.

Great way to round off a deck that utilizes Eldrazi Spawn tokens :) and he's a cheap rare!
Drop the skullmulcher, eat up a bunch of saps. Say, 5 to be conservative. Draw your cards. End of turn before your turn, sac this guy to the Altar, mill someone. Upkeep, make more saps, sac one of them to the Caretaker to get this guy back, and repeat the process. Add in something like Venser's Journal and things get crazy. (Yes, duh, herp derp, Doubling Season makes this twice as good. I shouldn't have to point that out.)

Could have been a plant zombie. That would have been sweet.

Should have been named Skullmuncher.

That art looks like he's from Shadowmoor, not Jund. Awesome creature though. Perfect for tokens. Devouring even one or two guys gives you a very effective play.
