Good card for weenie decks...too bad it cant be equipped or enchanted. a Steel of the Godhead or a Loxodon warhammer on this dude would be a HOUSE!.

Still a good card to beat red and black decks in UW

Very difficult to deal with this creature in an all-out exalted deck. Despite not having exalted itself, it is often the best creature to attack alone with because of its shroud. First strike just makes it that much more annoying. Very sad that I don't have any copies of this card as of yet.

You can put Steel of the Godhead on him. Just move it to him with Simic Guildmage. His enchantment moving ability doesn't target, so he can get around shrouded creatures. It is the correct colors, too.

Great in my Bant Exalted deck, but so many times I've wanted to equip Behemoth Sledge to it with no avail :P

It's not a guy...
it's a girl...

Pretty potent isn't she? Good for swatting small fry early on, and shroud gives you some peace of mind when you don't have to worry about lightening bolt and other burn cards. She'll help to ensure a late game, which is what white/blue loves - slow and steady.

great early play creature for an UW deck. Despite her downside she is great agianst a beat down deck, for example jund and its creatures... Jund Hackblade and Rip-Clan Crasher. Terminate cant kill her because of her shroud ability and on the right deck she is pretty much untouchable because she got Blue and that means Counter Spells.

Deft Duelist and Wall of Denial are two solid creatures to have on the battlefield, and with spells like Path To Exile, Condenm, Counterspell, etc., in my hand, i have control of the battle field.

A 2/1 fist stiker for 2 cmc? That is the stuff. Shroud makes her freakin' awesome. Good early on, or late game.

I love this card. She's just the definition of a solid creature. Any weakness you can come up with for her can be justified by the fact that she costs only two. Also a great card for global pump-up effects (and Exalted). If you manage to get enchantments on her indirectly, then you've got one tough fighter.

Trying to see a disadvantage with this card. Oh, here's one, you could potentially use WoG instead, or a Mox if you have one. This is one of the best cheap critters out there.

The fact that she's a girl is just the icing on the cake...

A great card. Pretty hard to remove, only mass destroy or sacrifice will do.

This card lives to kill Bloodbraid Elf, I swear. I drop this any time I played Jund recently and they just kind of stare at it, lol.

The shroud makes boosting tough, but it makes removal even tougher which, at its mana cost, is perfect as far as I'm concerned.

Dang! (w) (b) For a 2/1 with first strike? Good enough, add in shroud and you've got one heck of a two drop. Great in B/W control! 5/5

In pauper this card is amazing.
Rare quality in a "common only" arena.

This is the only creature ever printed with both Shroud and First Strike. WhiteBlue...I have a sneaking suspicion that they forgot to print "Defender" on it.

5 stars.

Im not sure if I prefer this or Sejiri Merfolk more. Shroud vs lifelink + can be played without paying white mana/having a plains.

I just use Earthquake, it's legal in the same format as this.

Cloak and Dagger gives a 4/1 first striker, turn 3 - with two shrouds.

She's completely insane in multiples. Attacking with your Craw Wurm? Guess what...

@chinkeeyong: You might be right about Craw Wurm, but guess what? If you are smart enough to play this good creature, other people are smart enough to not play crappy creatures like Craw Wurm. Other than that, you get the essence, this is a good, cheap creature.

The fact that this is a white blue card with power relative to that of a green/red or black/red is ... rather funny actually.

There is nothing I don't like about this card.

Cost: Easy
Abilities: Great combination under most circumstances, but an absolute hoser against red. The weaknesses of shroud are particularly well offset in block with exalted, especially Angelic Benediction giving it pseudo-evasion.
Art: A really beautiful woman who is not anatomically terrifying upon closer examination
Flavor text: In a single sentence, tells the story of how each shard has its outlier cultures despite being cut off from the associated colors of mana.

If White-Blue aggro ever became a viable deck type, this would far and away be the first and best choice for the 2 drop slot.

This card is awesome.
Someday I'd love to see a parody version called Daft Duelist.

I don't understand the low ratings, really, except perhaps the weakness to Earthquake and similar effects as another player mentioned, but that's a fairly narrow drawback. 2/1 First Strike for two is solid (compare to Elvish Archer, and adding Shroud makes it far more reliable

This card is one of the few creatures that I use in my blue/white control decks. She just sits out there early on and very little can get through, moreso once she gets a friend. I can save my control spells for when they are most devastating, and she's so cheap that I seldom need to worry about keeping mana open. It's just a great, not overpowered card. 4.5/5
