Why do you have plains in your elf deck? You should just play sunpetal grove et al.

This land cycle is the best of the two-color lands. Let's say you have this card and a Plains in play. You want to play an Elvish Warrior. With this card, you can play it. But others, like Sunpetal Grove, wouldn't help.

And the fetch-lands are good, but I just don't like the 1 life loss.

Besides, filter lands are a helluva lot cheaper.

Except this is a terrible turn one play. Razorverge Thicket, or cracking a fetchland into Temple Garden isn't. That's why you see the difference in price. What's 3 life in a format where everyone is paying 3 life a turn for the first couple turns? What's 3 life in a deck that runs Sword of War and Peace and/or Wurmcoil Engine? Baneslayer?

Then again, the only reason Bob costs so much is Sensei's Divining Top. In which case you get Ponder + Phyrexian Arena every turn.

Solid land, but as DacenOctavio pointed out, not viable for tournament play. If you have multiples in hand, and no other lands, it could ruin your game. Thats why the price is low, but this is a solid card none-the-less.

The cool part about this land though, by itself it could fuel a Wrath of God in a mono Green deck.
