that's such an awesomely cheap card. only one green mana required in the cost, and besides giving all other elves a p/t boost of 1, you can therefore create a 2/2 elf warrior each turn for only one green mana. and this guy isn't even legendary, if you have two of these creatures out they will boost themselves to 3/3 and you can create two further 3/3 elf warrior tokens each turn for GG. elf, being one of the most powerful tribal type anyways, got a further advantageous choice through this card.

Amazing how this may seem broken at first glance, and yet it's really balanced. Pretty obvious auto-include in any Elf deck.

Should it not be "prefect"?

You guys all wrote this over a year ago, you guys should see how much this card is worth now! It's impossible to get! I tried buying some online but the credible sites are all sold out.

The elves of Lorwyn base their admiration and group leadership on physical appearance. This is completely different from the way things are done in real life.

@Kirbster - Really? Tell that to all the nerds that won homecoming king or queen in high school...
I'll grant that it's true past that point, but not always.
@Alsebra Another clear indication that sarcasm can't be differentiated in text form.

one of the best elven lords around in my opinion

@Kazabet: No. The most beautiful (and therefore highest-ranking) elves in Lorwyn society were referred to as "perfects" because they, well, looked perfect.

Not sure how it made it down to uncommon but I'm not complaining. As EvilCleavage pointed out, still incredibly expensive despite the reprint and the rarity, so...
I feel like you would have a hard time losing a limited game with one of these out. Hard to imagine a deck with more than one.
Whenever people complain about rares being so much better than other rarities, these are the steps I take:
1. I talk about the limited format, and how it is warped by really power cards 2. I tell them about commons and uncommons (most removal and countermagic) that commonly beat rares 3. I show them this card, Vampire Nighthawk, and Standstill
Most of the time that shuts them up. I'm glad that power like this exists at uncommon.
