It's almost really nice but the abilities seem over-priced to me... shame.

I think this is the first coloured artifact creature

Was much better before the combat damage changes: block, deal dmg, then sac :P

The draft was going great, I picked my 3rd one and I thought I had a good reliable third turn card that works with my magus of the moat, until I realised I needed blue. Face palm. Looking back, I prolly should have tried to splash.
Looks Phyrexian.
This guy was in Shards of Alara during design, but he was cut during development as his flavor didn't mesh with Esper's. However, the next Block after Zendikar is called Scars of Mirrodin, so he might turn out to be from there.

Seeing as Myrs are from Mirrodin, and the next set is going to have a Mirrodin/Phyrexian mix (and Phyrexians are all about combining machine with flesh) there is a very good chance we'll see this guy again.

Decent pauper card, but obviously overcosted and underpowered for constructed. It was late pick playable in it's limited.

This guy blew my mind when I first saw him, but he's not that great. If it had flying and saccing it was free, then maybe. Oh what could have been...

I hope we see this guy in Mirrodin Beseiged. If not... well... considering how much MaRo is a fan of Phyrexia and poison, I think it's pretty likely we're going to have New Phyrexia. In that case, I'm almost certain this guy will show up.

I am going to go out on a limb, and make some wishful predictions. I think we will see this guy again in "Action". Personally I would love to see the next set be "Mirriodin Pure", but lets be honest it looks like "New Phyrexia" will be the next set, for many reasons. Firstly it allows for Phyrexia to play a major role in the larger story of the Muliverse, and I think it would just sell better. But that being said Phyrexia is now taking on colours and that could lead to coloured artifacts like this Sarcomite Myr. Also to add to the argument the blue side of Phyrexia is seen on experimenting, I would be willing to say that coloured artifacts could come back, but I do not know if they will use any colour other than blue.

Myr have come a long way since the future.

Sad we didn't see him again. I had him in the ol' myr deck for a while. I suppose he does seem like a phyrexian though? All that flesh... Maybe the Phyrexians will invade Ravnica, lol.

And now we have Spined Thopter, which permanently gains flying and has a more flexible cost, but you can't just get rid of it.
...
Almost would have prefered some call back to him, Spined Thopter just seems like a weak card in my opinion. This guy has class.

So this card's future didn't come to pass, but it showed us a glimpse of Esper in Alara block and a return to Mirrodin!

Transguild courier is first colored artifact.
