I hate the new artwork, and don't really understand why players voted this one into the core set. I personally find Shivan Dragon to be more useful because it costs 1 less, and there are lots of better creatures if you don't mind paying 7.

There's nothing wrong with the new art, but the old art is a lot better. I think that's what he's saying, and it's true.

No, this new picture is a little too remniscent of... a chicken.

Still, the card isn't any less good. A buff flying body and repeated direct damage is always nice.

Bomb in limited and dragons are always fun in casual games.

With all the Hellkites going around, shouldn't it be a creature type?

While Kumano, Master Yamabushi does indeed cost 2 less mana and has the same ability, Shivan Hellkite is a 5/5 dragon with flying. So, there's kind of a reason players might want to play this over Kumano. Besides, with Dragonspeaker Shaman, it costs the same.

The new art is sick, Kev Walker is truly a god among men. Kumano aside, this guy flies, isn't legendary, and has some of the most kickass flavor text I've ever seen.

I actually think the art for this card is fairly good (Kev Walker makes some badass dragons, and the flame looks really impressive coming out of this dragon's mouth and nostrils) nothing really beats the classic sneering dragon from Urza's.
On the card, it's pretty decent, a little weaker then Shivan Dragon imo, (Considering he can rip out half an opponent's life in one blow if he connects) but still an ok card.
