I'll rather spare to surprise my opponent with this instant and run Glorious Anthem with a double-white cost instead. Or in a monowhite deck Honor of the Pure, for that matter.
Bad card, bad flavor, and beneath all, BAD ARTWORK!!!!!!!

The artwork isnt bad. We've got a lot going on here. The girl isn't particularly sexy or anything but not hideous either. The detail on the weapon and armor is cool. The moonlike symbols emanating out represent the bonus granted to fellow soldiers. Not the best art but not bad

The Ninth Edition printing features one of the more unusual choices for flavor text on a Magic card.

Good art, name, and flavor text. It's redeeming qualities drop off sharply after that.

The artist pauses to ask his colleague a question.
"Girls undress during eclipses, right?"

i saw this and wondered why what i thought was a white standard was rated so low...then realized it had been EXPLICITLY UPGRADED.

Warrior's Honour.
It meant they were out of whacking range. Unless I had a death's-head buzzard on hand I often lost at that point, to my own whacking.
