Nowdays, land destruction is out of green, which makes this good. That the Mold switch-hits to artifact/enchantment destruction if that would be more useful makes this great.

Thankfully, acidic slime now exists. Does all this AND gives you a 2/2 deathtouch creature. Awesome.

Well, outmoded by Bramblecrush now, I guess. I'd keep this one in my Fungus EDH deck flavour-wise, but planeswalker destruction is rather important these days.

@Corey_bayoudragonfly I wouldn't say this is completely outmoded by Bramblecrush because this card can be used to destroy artifact creatures.

@A3Kitsune, land destruction's still in green. Look at Acidic Slime, Bramblecrush, Mold Shambler. It just often says non-creature permanent now. There are 3 green land destruction spells in standard right now, compared to just 5 red LD cards, and red is the king of LD.

Bramblecrush is better. Would you rather be able to hit walkers, or artifact creatures?

Personally, between this and Bramblecrush, I'd say it's a tie. If they were both in standard at the moment it would be Bramblecrush easily. But looking at vintage/legacy/commander, they're pretty equal.

There are almost 11 times as many artifact creatures to choose from as planeswalkers at the moment, you see. Combine this with most artifact creatures being splashable thanks to being colorless (and being better in multiples even with the M14 changes), and you're much more likely to have an artifact creature to cast this on than a planeswalker.

And, as a side note, this can also hit lands that happen to be creatures as well. Not a ton of those of course, but the ones that are out there certainly see play. So not a non-factor as it were.

This is not strictly better than Bramblecrush because this can kill artifact-creatures like Phyrexian Dreadnought. Both are great.
