Interesting card. Morph ensures that this card will be useful most of the time. No creatures in play yet? Just play it face down and morph it later. However, it's ability is pretty lackluster. I'd rather use Honor of the Pure for the same casting cost or pay an extra mana for Glorious Anthem or Spidersilk Armor. And for you multicolor people, you're better off using Angelic Shield for the addition of bouncing.

Actually, this card is really useful sometimes. I was using this in a Future Sight draft, and my favorite part was that you could block with it, and then flip it before damage is dealt, to negate damage from one non-trampler, and then give a boost to the other guys blocking.
This card predicts the next artifact-central block (possibly a return to Mirrodin) after Zendikar. I'm calling it right now.

Oh come on. Extreme added flexability, and can be played outside mono white, in exchange for only 1 power. I like this better than Honor and all it's likenesses. Also, one wonders how this ended up TWO rarities lower than the usual suspects. It's even usable as an instant, or a combat trick!

Not as good as other buff effects (Which are played entirely because they buff the creatures' power), but useful for saving all your 2/2s from Pyroclasm in Peasant Magic.

The cool thing about this is you can attack with it, see how they are going to respond, and if it is unfavorable to you, you can flip it up, which removes it from combat because it is no longer a creature.

Brilliant card on defense. You block with it and your other defenders, then unmorph it, making all your other blockers tougher and negating the damage from whatever it blocked.
