People were up in arms when Flores previewed this card. But that was because they thought it was terrible and he thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Really, it's a pretty good card.

Mirri, Vampire Nighthawk, Vampire Nocturnus and Vein Drinker are the top vampires by far XD
Can't believe you don't see Mirri in every type 1 deck! She's too good to not be used!

You play her, you better be able to get her out of the graveyard, because she will attract creature-kill. And at 2 starting toughness, she's rather vulnerable to damage. But if you can keep her in play, yea, she's great.
Nothing quite as jaw-dropping as a Vampire Nocturnus revealing a Mirri, the Cursed on top.

Outstanding! The first vampire to actually be playable.
Good luck to opponents to have a minimum 3/4 flying/reach blocker by the time she gets out.

Ridiculous :O Haste on this is brutal. And the first strike equals perfection along-side her counter adding effect. This is one of the coolest cards ever. By FAR, in my eyes. Solid.

Just as with the original, uncursed Mirri, Cat Warrior I regard this card as aesthetic perfection. It's wildly popular for good reason.
Note that it has the same power and toughness as the green version, just inverted.

Why does she have flying? She's a kitty cat. Still, 4cmc for a flying haste first strike positive ability is crazy.

I suppose that she was cursed instead of Crovax in an alternate timeline, didn't she?
Definitely in my top 5 cards ever. If she's blocked by three (or more) creatures, and she does a point of damage to each, I assume she'll get a counter for each of them?
Great card, but man did poor Mirri get shafted by the writers compared to Crovax.
Normal Timeline: Mirri dies fighting Crovax, who becomes Evincar of Rath.
Chaos Timeline: Mirri gets Crovax's curse and becomes Evincar, while Crovax survives and gets to become a hero. Not fair at all.
That's in addition to how the writers basically have her lose all her major fights, have an unrequited crush on Gerrard, and only get mentioned once or twice after her death. To reference TVTrropes, she seems a pretty clear "Chew Toy" minus the normal comedy.
S'not right, man.

This card doesn't deserve the high praise it's getting. Although haste is nice, it's not difficult to get a blocker with 4 power out there on turn 4 or 5. It's also not difficult to kill her with direct damage or counters. Her Sengir ability doesn't come into play that often, unless the opponent is forced to chump block for some reason. She doesn't really threaten to do very much beyond deal 3 damage per turn, starting turn 4. Which actually isn't very frightening. Still an efficient and powerful card in combat, but at most a 4/5.
Ultimately, the infinitely superior vampire nighthawk costs 1 less mana, the infinitely superior vampire nocturnus costs the same, and, well, if you pay 1 more mana, get baneslayer angel.

With Basilisk collar on the field she becomes a 6 mana Flying, First strike, Haste, deathtouch, Lifelink, 3/2 with that +1/+1 counter ability. Absolutely sick, I am making a white green tribal cat deck but I sooooo want to get her in it somehow.

I find haste + flying on her can sometimes come out of nowhere to save the day in a vampire deck when you're running out of steam. The rest of the time, her abilities synergize nicely (First Strike + "Vampirism") to constantly prey on your opponent's creatures. Plus, honestly folks, have you ever seen a cat with such large breasts? Amazing.

@Wulfsten: A turn 4 flying power 3 first striker that gets bigger if it begins to hurt stuff isn't good enough for you? Your Baneslayer Angel comment says a lot I suppose. I mean, this lady can kill a Nighthawk one-on-one and get bigger from it, and can do more damage than Nighthawk can mitigate with its lifelink.
Her only problem is that she competes with Vampire Nocturnus regarding the mana curve, but really if your vampire deck caps at 4 cmc creatures she's hardly going to be a dead draw (just imagine throwing her down with Nocturnus in play), and getting first strike in a mono black vampire deck isn't easy.

Beats down Vampire Nighthawks, and hits very hard and fast. 3 in the air that they can't see coming is quite a bit IMO; and she's an amazing defender, requiring a 4/4 or better to kill her; except she grows, meaning that later in the game it only gets worse!
Beautiful.
That said, use her next to your Nighthawks, right in your tribal vamp deck! Good use of flavor, awesome card, curves right into her.

@Wulfsten
Vampire Nighthawk is NOT "infinitely superior" to Mirri. In fact, in some ways, Mirri is better.
"Although haste is nice, it's not difficult to get a blocker with 4 power out there on turn 4 or 5."
A FLYING blocker, you mean? You'd be surprised how difficult it can be to get out a creature that can block and kill this quickly enough. In order to do that, a creature needs to be able to block creatures with flying and have at least 3 power (remember that due to first strike Mirri gets a +1/+1 counter before the blocker deals damage to her). Besides, if they do get out a big blocker, just use your removal on it.
"It's also not difficult to kill her with direct damage or counters."
You could say the same about Vampire Nighthawk.
"She doesn't really threaten to do very much beyond deal 3 damage per turn, starting turn 4."
Except she is also a pretty good blocker. Not to mention that 3 damage per turn is actually quite a lot, for a single creature.
@NatalyNeeSama
She can fly because she is a vampire.
That made me think, most vampires turn into bats. So what would Mirri turn into? A cat-bat? A cbat? A bcat?
