for this card to be good it would have to be blue , be a creature, be 1/2 , and have flying.

How exactly does this card stack up when played on Norin the Wary? I want to know for my Pandemonium deck.

I can just imagine it. A bunch of soldiers just sitting around and then there is a loud PHUMP and a mantle just drops on one perfectly from the sky. "guess you're the leader now."

@Gwafa_Hazid: This can't be played on Norin, trying to cast it causes Norin to vanish, making the mantle fizzle. If you could somehow make it stick to Norin, it would fall off as soon as his ability gets triggered.

Obviously it isn't great in just any deck, it'll be giving +0/+0 alot of the time, but in a token spamming deck of some kind it can spell checkmate pretty easily. Storm Heard and swing with an enchanted trampler for the kill then use the heard to finish off a second opponent.

It's just way to give something landfall... until you realise that it does not specify that the creatures have to come into play during your turn. Thus, the more things your opponent(s) throw down, the tougher your enchanted creature becomes.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Uril, the misttalker

Oooooh man! This seems taylor FITTED for Hero of Bladehold! +4/+4 EVERY turn making her a 7/8 and that's just what's guaranteed! Let alone all the other unexpected bonus's you're bound to get. O'mgosh she's not even legendary IS SHE?? So throw down HOB #2 and that's a 12/12 battle cryin knight babe swingin at yo face BOY!!! Yep.. Seems like a match made in heaven to me. Course you could always cast an Army of the damned just after putting this on.. Heck, ANYTHING and you'll be sittin pretty darn PRETTY after doing some simple math lol..

Don't really care for how this card works. The mechanics don't reflect the flavor very well.
First off, a leader isn't boosted by his buddies. A leader leads. This card doesn't really reflect that well at all.
Second, good leaders aren't just chosen on the spot. You don't just drop the mantle on 'em and POW, leader time.
Third, why on earth would you want an enchantment like this anyways? I suppose if you were pumping out a lot of soldiers, but there are better uses for pumping out those soldiers than just boosting one of 'em!
I would have preferred an enchantment that boosted everything BUT the enchanted creature. Not only does that make more mechanical sense, but that kind of backwards thinking is PERFECT for Planar Chaos.

Could potentially be awesome with any creature with the ability to pump out tokens, also can cause Hero of Bladehold to become a swinging 7/8 (assuming you enchanted it prior to the attacker phase). Also flash is an often underatted ability. As others have mentioned, soldiers seem like a good way to go.

With an active Goblin Warrens, that's 2Red: +6/+6!

Flash is relevant:
-vs haste creatures
-with your flash creatures and instant-speed token generators
-with your suspend creatures

Skittering invasion.

This has a spot in my Soldier EDH, mostly for the flavour. It doesn't happen very often, but it can be used for sneaky Commander-damage wins. Especially off of a kicked Conqueror's Pledge.

Stick this on a questing phelddagrif and pump like hell.
