worse than the simple red Stone Rain most of the time,
on the other hand given that you don't get this in the lategame at first, it will most of the time deal its two or even four points of damage for 1Blue, which isn't too easy to achieve with blue.

Haha, the source of my first rules argument. My dad argued that he didn't have to untap the enchanted land that I kept using Mind Games on...as it turns out, you MUST untap your stuff :P This later helped me convince a playgroup that if you forgot to untap for the turn, you HAD to go back and do it.

This a fun little enchantment for Blue that can really add-up. I think it is very playable since its cost is so low... a steal at 1U.

The real beauty of Psychic Venom is that it combos well with a number of other blue spells, all designed to tap lands, etc:

Mana Short - You can't do anything and take damage.
Power Leak - Counter a spell and tap your land
Twiddle - quick flexible hit
Enervate - Cantrip and damage
Drain Power - Setup for the big finisher that kills at the same time

It also works well as a deterrant, forcing people to make tough choices:

Power Leak lose your enchantment or take damage.
Virtually any card with upkeep, etc.

Overall, a fun card.

goes in all my blue decks mwahahahaa

love these draining cards

Ive won many multiplayer games by slapping 1 of these on each player than gigadrowsing or similar taking out two or three players each turn.

If one player is being annoying i sometimes put 4 of these onto one players land, then keep tapping it down

Best use ive found is Toils of Night and Day and splice Psychic Puppetry onto it as you can tap multiple lands and then untap them to tap them again in the same turn

Oh, so you've got four Library of Alexandria? Let's have you pay for those cards then.
