It really isn't all that great. Unless you really need certain types of mana, you're better off putting in Savage Lands or a Crumbling Necropolis or the like. Still comes into play tapped, is far more useful in the long run.

And while true that it only fetches a land which makes one color only and that is quite prohibitive, don't forget that that land is a basic land and it provides a shuffle and thinning effect.
Terramorphic Expanse ain't the best land there is, but for budget mana fixing it's up there.
Even so good that pro decks made Top 8 and even win with it:

If pros put it in their decks and win with it, it can't be that bad.
Besides, i personally use the card for cheap and good colorfixing, even though i also use more expensive lands as well.

Hmm.. i currently play {U}{B}{G}, so lands like you suggested aren't so common. Terramorphic Expanse is the perfect card for managing my colors efficiently (at least better than trying to get my hands on 4 each of Watery Grave, Breeding Pool, and Overgrown Tomb for just one deck).

Barachem, the problem with your post is that none of those are from pros. PTQs and regionals are more competitive than kitchen table magic, sure, but are nowhere NEAR the level of GPs and PTs. The card is a fine budget card for casual but it's not good competitively outside of very specific niches that have little to do with its manafixing capability (namely, landfall for Plated Geopede/Steppe Lynx in Boros and Valakut in... Valakut).

...Are you people honestly complaining about Terramorphic expanse? Really?

This is a deck thinning, mana fixing, landfall enabling Swiss Army Knife of a card. At common. It enables domain, allows lands to be dropped during opponent's turns, can be used in ANY multicolored deck, and puts things in the graveyard. This card is probably one of the best designed cards in the game, is easily one of the more flexible, and anyone who complains about it needs to be slapped. Repeatedly.
