the classic blue flyer! In the early days this was a great card. also one of the creatures with the djinn subtype that doesn't have a drawback.

A great flyer for blue, how this was considered overpowered at one point is beyond me...a classic in blue...

Every blue deck back in the day had this guy (as well as Doppleganger and Clone). The bane of Shivan Dragon too; many a Djinn and Dragon killed each other back then.

@Guest: This was considered 'overpowered' because it was so big, had evasion and no drawbacks for a 'cheap' cost. Serra Angel and Sengir Vampire both cost 1 mana less and were 4/4s, while Shivan Dragon cost the same, had firebreathing, but toughness that could still be overcome with this card.

It's just that with today's power creep (eg Baneslayer Angel), most old creatures don't seem so powerful anymore. I mean, c'mon, they even made a whackload of vanilla gold legends because they didn't want to go overboard on creatures...

Anyway, despite what I just mentionned, this is still a good card.

The only pre-Arabian Nights Djinn, this thing ruled the skies for a long time. It took a Lord of the Pit or a Granite Gargoyle to hold it off.
