Celestial Prism was bad then and downright laughable now. It is a reliable mana fixer, but too costly to play and too costly to activate. In a four or five color deck, this card might be useful, but don't expect to be competitive with this clunker taking up a slot in your library.
awful art and generally useless card

One of the least efficient mana filters ever, this didn't even see much play back in the day (dual lands were easier to get your hands on back then). Now that mana burn is gone, it's not even useful for that.

Was probably intended to let you filter down mana from say a Mana Flare so that you didn't take burn damage from playing a Lightning Bolt. No real use for this, now, though.

They might not have had to restrict sol ring if there was a rule saying you had to play these along with them as a package deal

The first card I ever opened from a pack of Magic. Yeah it kinda sucks, but then, my first rare in that same pack was Underground Sea. So, yeah, good first booster pull!
