Way too expensive.

Pretty unimpressive for something that has "eternity" in its name.

I don't know why anyone would rate this more then a half star. This has got to be one of the worst blue cards. It doesn't tap the creature and you only get to draw 1 card for six mana.

Development must have had some serious hate for this card, "Yeah totally, play testing shows it's way too strong at 5 cmc".

You remove a creature WITH A BLUE CARD and get to draw. Ever played limited? It's not great in constructed, but it seems that everyone here expects every removal spell to be Doom Blade and every creature to be Primeval Titan.

Minotaurs are always eating the crappy removal :\

You really can't even call this removal when something as simple as vigilance or defender can completely nullify it. I think it came down to the last minute and R&D forgot to fix this so someone tacked a cantrip on it on the way out the door to the printers.

Good one, Wizards.
I always wanted a cantrip version of that great blue counterpart of Arrest.
This one is probably the best one of them all, for just six mana i can prevent my opponent's creature from untapping, booyah! Now if just that stupid Sun Titan didn't have vigilance...
/sarcasm

(You know, different versions of Dehydration wouldn't even be that annoying if just the cost wouldn't be so incredibly high each time. Yeah, blue is (gladly) not the color for spot removal. But why print cards so bad that just spashing another color for efficient spells will always be a better idea?)

Why do people rate cards like this for its uses in constructed formats? DUH, it's meant to be used in limited. And as a late-pick removal option, it's actually a pretty solid card, since it's in blue, which usually has a harder time finding removal. Does that make it great? Nah. But I certainly wouldn't mind nabbing this as a late pick anytime i was running blue.

3/5 for limited. And I'll be rating it as such, since that's the only time it's relevant (so, haters, get ready to HATE)

Yeah its fun going on gatherer and having a laugh about the crappy cards wizards has made over the years...

...Until you go home, and you have some card with a rating lower then 1 just chilling in your card box. And you know its there, but you just can't do anyhting about it without apeparing crazy. And you're lamenting the day you opened that booster pack/theme deck/card box and have horrific memorites of the time you thought you'd try that card in a deck, just for a laugh, and the memory of drawing it and your soul fleeing your body...

It is then that you feel the chill hand of magic card hell on your soul...

Should have at least had flash for this casting cost.

At first I wondered why this cad was rated so badly. It draws you a card and keeps a creature out of combat. I thought it cost 3 at first. At 6 this is unplayable unless you could draw at least 3 cards in addition to to the tapping part. Even then it would be limited card.

Needs to cost 3 less.

For that price it should tap the creature. But its removal that cantrips in blue, so I think it would need to cost 6, if it tapped the creature.

This card is pretty bad. It deserves flash, at least.

i've noticed something very similar among the low-rated blue cards: they all cost WAY too much. i think WotC is so worried about blue getting out of hand again they overcost everything. you look at the best blue cards, they're all way too cheap. there needs to be some balance if we are going to get consistently good blue cards again.

Forget about splashing other people's spot removal; just use Mind Control, which costs one less, works on more creatures, can remove a blocker, and still gives you +1. Most of the time, your opponent's best creature is going to be worth more than whatever you'd draw anyway, especially since you have to pay to cast what you draw and don't have to pay extra to get a mind-controlled creature.

(And that's not even getting into the fact that mind control once cost even less as Control Magic...)

I wouldn't untap either if I had a Storm Crow on my horn like that.

Confirmed for Born of the Gods. (Probably purely for Vorthos precepts.)
