I like the Bloodthirst mechanic, because it encourages people to play their spells after combat. When you get damage though, this guy becomes an efficient 5/6 for 5. Yes, he's not constructed playable, but if you just need a big guy, he'll do.

Yeah, he could use trample. I don't like it because he's so overcosted that he's not worth it unless you do the bloodthirst. I'd prefer to play Phyrexian Hydra in his slot.

Had he cost less he'd have my attention. Potentially a 5/6 for is a pretty snazzy deal.

A 5/6 for is 100% the standard for green, and being a sub-standard creature IN GREEN is a terrible place to be.
