I never understood why this has a Gruul symbol in the text of the card, but the colors (And artwork) reflect the Izzet guild.

I imagine this would have been useful for deathtouch creatures before everyone got twelve copies of Basilisk Collar. These days, it could be funny with an Infect creature, or possibly one of the legends from Kamigawa block so that you can pretend Mr. Miyagi is fighting for you.

*comment about Razor Boomerang lol* This was a decent mana sink for breaking stalemates back in the day, and it's just a fun card in general. Ravnica had lots of those. The misprinted symbol was also fairly exciting for a teenager :D

Nice card, balanced but a little hard to abuse with its ability. However transform a creature in a pinger, which sometimes could be very good and comboable!

So guild watermarks are now in Gatherer and this shows up as Izzet. I guess, finally, we can say this card has been "errata'd" to the proper guild!

Yes, this bloodthirst enabler couldn't be further from gruul. I think it should have been in Dual Decks Izzet so that it could be printed with a corrected watermark (really no other reason) but as is, I find myself wanting to build a blood thirst deck with this in it. just because it will fit right in haha.
