A solid card. It provides mana fixing and next turn mana acceleration in colors that don't seem to have enough of either. While most competitive R/W decks would rather use the early turns to drop down cheap creatures, I like the signet in my casual deck that uses a lot of the higher costed creatures and cards. A turn 3 Brion Stoutarm or turn 4 Balefire Liege is not a bad deal in exchange for spending turn 2 dropping down this signet.
