1/2= i play this card because i know the only way i can win is by you laughing so hard you choke on your own saliva and die. like juju bubble. 1= you couldn't pay me to play this card. 1 1/2=noobs may think it is half way decent. solid in draft, but not a first 5 pick. 2= good in the right deck 2 1/2= average 3= above average, possibly good in tournaments (pre-lorwyn) 3 1/2= fairly solid. bomb in limited. 4=epic, most decks are playing it 4 1/2= almost all decks are playing it, or its a $3+ uncommon 5=you should definately splash a second color for this card
index is a 1 star, not a 4. main problems: sorcery, doesn't allow you do put cards on bottom, no coherent card advantage.

I don't care what they say, this is useful for me. I wish it would get reprinted.

It's an inferior Ponder, yes, but still a solid turn one play for any blue mage.
This seems pretty solid. It's weakened by the fact that you'll probably shuffle your library for one reason or another before you draw the five cards you rearranged. If that's the case, Ponder will most likely be superior. This would still do the trick in multiplayer or during slow games, though.

Not as good as Portent, in my opinion. At least Portent has a cantrip draw at the next upkeep.

Well, although it can't put cards on the bottom itself, it lets you sift the junk up to the top so you can scry it down with Augury Owl on the next turn, or it lets you determine whether you need to shuffle with Ponder next turn. It still has versatility, and only costs you {U}. Solid for pauper, I guess.

not that great, it doesn't give you card advantage and I'd prefer a scry effect in most cases.

Ponder doesn't give you card advantage either, but this one actually nets a disadvantage. I mean, yeah, it has its uses. But just use Sensei's divining top for those uses and you'll be a lot happier.
