Guardian beasts is busted... First off its indestructibility for your artifacts, and prevents them from being enchanted, which sucks for power artifact combos, but lets face it if your comboing out with power artifact, you probably dont need indestructibility... and it costs 3 and 1B not 1... But still a 2/4 for 4 that makes your artifacts indestructible, unenchantable, and unstealable? BUSTED!

I would imagine the flavor for this one came from an original 1001 Arabian Nights story that included a beast that protected some sort of treasure.

This is an interesting card, totally out of flavor for black...and really would have fit better in Antiquities than Arabian Nights...It also would have been hard to get rid of, being Terror-Proof...

The 3 colorless is pretty hard. I thought it was a 1 drop too at first and had an internal woot =( Still, good card! Nice wall with a secondary mode of protection that pretty much covers all the bases.

One of the coolest cards of all time. When this card came out, it was tremendous. Not only could you get it out on turn one with any mox and a dark ritual, but he protected your moxes, lotus, time vault, etc. Of course there are ways around him, but he is terror and lightning bolt proof and requires some effort to get rid of before your opponent can even begin to target your artifacts. 5/5

Yep, I though first it only cost B as well. 3 + B is reasonable, but it is a $40 card.... I don't think it's broken by any means. You could easily destroy, DD, drain Guardian Beast, or better yet, MC it to gain all of its benefits.

Frighteningly powerful in the right deck. Oh, sure, there are other ways, such as Darksteel Forge (or whatever that card is that makes artifacts indestructible), but this fella is cheaper and reasonably hard to kill given his power.

Yeah, this really should be white, lol. Pretty strong... indestructibility for this cheap raises eyebrows. Art's pretty neat, despite not really matching the mechanics. Play with Phylactery Lich
