I know, right?
Wall of Spears = artifact
Wall of Shields = artifact
Wall of Swords = white???

It's not an artifact because wall of spears and shields are simple objects. A wall of animated swords though is magic. And animating walls was early on the business of white (animate wall, rolling stones).
