I love this card, my spirit deck is full of stuff that triggers when I play a spirit or arcane spell. and with this card I can fire those things at least once every turn. works well with stuff like Briarknit Kami and Faithful Squire and many others.

Apart from the obvious applications, it has some synergy (albeit expensive) with Soul Warden. Decent synergy with equip artifacts as they won't leave play when the spirit does.
It doesn't avoid removal as well as Norin the Wary, but avoid removal better than almost all other creatures. It dies to Sudden Death haha

one of the good solid cards of yesteryear that were forgotten.
i have 1 in my EDH deck, doesn't die to most removal..makes a very good chump blocker..

I have always loved this card, and not just because it could be used as a nigh unkillable blocker.
A long time ago, I was in love with a girl, and through some convoluted interactions, she got the personal pet name "Glowworm" from me... And once, I spent the night at her place, and deep in the night, I could not sleep, and I had this card with me, and scanned it on her computer, and set it as her desktop background. She loved it. :)
