Love the flavor text.

meh, i think bone splinters is better, but it'll do sometimes. Like, I need red removal for my Rith EDH deck. so it'll fly

Sac a Perilous Myr for a little better effect. 7 damage to one creature, or 5 to one creature and 2 to another, or 5 to a creature and 2 to a player.

Kryptnyt, you drunk? Your spelling is almost always impeccable.

If this would only cost Red i would gladly use it in certain decks.
But since it costs 1Red and we can't damage the player at all (for just 2 damage for example), i'll stick to the good old Fling instead.

Still an OK card for a nice damage output if you have chump blockers (which aren't quite as useful for Flinging), though.

Ok, but what did the Gruul dirtbag think about it?

if it was creature o player it would be better than gobbonade. people would use it with ornithopahs
@Polychromatic
Only drunk from the red flavor from this card!

Goblin grenade was cheeper and hit any target. But then again it wasn't an instant. But 2 cards for one... guess you COULD use a token... why am I trying to justify this card?! I'm just gonna use flame slash.

I see "As an additional cost, sacrifice a creature" and think "Cast this when a creature you control is about to die anyway." That way, it looks like a cheap but situational card instead of straight-up card disadvantage. Still, it's not going in any of my decks any time soon.

@kajillion: Presumably the Gruul dirtbag went boom without thinking about it.

The Gruul dirtbag saw a cooked meal.

I prefer fling to hit a player.
