I always thought this could only enchant a creature with flying. They updated the oracle wording not to. Makes this card much better.

@Drecon84: That's thanks to its Revised version which changed it up a lot. Note that it doesn't actually DO anything if the creature isn't a flying creature, so not much has changed.

The errata comes from the fact that if enchanted creature loses flying, this "Enchant Flying Creature" should be put into its owner's graveyard as a state-based effect for enchanting an illegal creature; like Animate Dead, which was an "Enchant Dead Creature", and now has something like a 10 lines text of errata.
Great flavor, however! This card should be revisited.
