Hard counter that was a lot better at the time with splicers.

Strictly better than Lay Bare, and that's rated better.

Really cool concept, much like Splice. This should be rated higher than Lay Bare.

Not technically strictly better, but far, far better than Lay Bare.

Not strictly better than Lay Bare. In multiplayer, this lets your opponents see that player's hand (since they reveal it), which might be bad for board politics. Lay Bare only causes you to look at their hand, so you can keep certain information privy. :p

I know I am acting tired (it is 1am) but can someone explain this card to me. I just can't grasp what they are trying to say.

EDIT

Wait, I think I got it... Correct me if I am wrong.

Counter target spell, if there is a spell spliced onto target spell, discard all cards with the same name as target spliced spell.

In block, brutal. Out of block, less so.

It is superior to Lay Bare for the most part though. The reveal is the only thing keeping it from "Strictly" status, which is good. Strictly is a bad thing to be.
