There ire white and black versions of this card, yet no blue version. Which seems odd if you consider fog is water vapor, and is thus in blue's flavor. Think sea fog, dense sea fog, morning mist, or Sailor Mercury's Shabon Spray.

You're right, flavorfully, this should be blue's. Wizards seems pretty dead set against giving this ability to blue, though. If blue wants to shut down combat, it taps things instead, such as in Sleep. Green still gets Fog, but Darkness is pretty much gone.

Green gets a lot of things that seem "in flavor" for blue. Though blue has a domain over the sky's creatures, green has always had domain over the air as well- seen in the squalls, windstorms and hurricanes on so many green cards. I guess "fog" fits into the "nature" niche, which is very green.

I always thought it would be funny if they did a printing of Fog where the picture box was just solid whitish-grey.
