Best dual land ever printed. It has been tearing up my local vintage meta, so imagine this beast's effect on extended!

It's not quite a beast, but it's up there. Still can almost breaks an opening hand in vintage.

Works best if you have some way of putting charge counters on it in addition to it's own ability (or in addition to the one it's own ability puts on it, in the case of Doubling Season).

Gemstone Mine is better. This should have been just an uncommon card. It's great in vintage and extended though.

Wow, it's a bad Gemstone Mine. Thanks, Kamigawa.

Proliferate can make this a very useful mana fixer

Gemstone Mine is not strictly better, because Tendo Ice Bridge uses charge counters. Meaning that if you find some way to turn the Ice Bridge into an artifact, you get to put some counters on it with Energy Chamber and stuff. More interactions. Whereas the Mine has mine counters, only proliferate would help you there.

Best land to bounce back to your hand pre-Zendikar. This and the ravnica bounce lands will get youthe colors you need really fast.

Not strictly better than Gemstone Mine.
This doesn't die after the counters are gone.
That does matter.

Not many lands from the last several years come into play untapped and can give you mana of any color, regardless of downsides.

I don't know why so many of you compare it to Gemstone Mine. Those are for different uses.
Tendo Ice Bridge is not necessarily for such color-heavy decks as Gemstone Mine is.
The Mine gives you any mana for three turns, and you're done.
This one has a permanent colorless mana ramp, and provides a single use of any color that you should use wisely.

I'm surprised it uses simple charge counters. Then again, you'll notice there are only a few cases where you can actually place charge counters on lands instead of artifacts.
This could still be useful in a three-color profilerate deck though.

And the art is gorgeous.
(That is one beast of a bridge if this little piece of land can produce as much mana as the mountains left and right from it :D)

Almost outclassed by Vivid cycle from Lorwyn, except they come into play tapped (and that is quite important at times). But on the other side, Vivid lands aren't legendary, produce coloured mana and have 2 charge counters.

One of the best things to use to power up your Reflecting Pool. Doesn't screw up your mana progression, and can provide colored mana the moment it comes out.

For long-term mana-fixing there are better choices. If you just need it and you need it now, this'll get the job done nicely while giving you a decent colorless land to work with later.

Neat land. I like the versatility it offers.

Great in a sliver deck, since slivers have plenty of use for colorless mana, but it still gets you whatever you need to bring out a legend. And once you have a legendary sliver out, you should be winning anyway.

Technically it uses charge counters...if you made it an artifact, there are several ways to charge it up. Not sure if it'd be worth the trouble though.

@1maketoilets: Ice bridge isn't legendary.

It's a bridge... extremely high off the ground... with no guardrails... that's not level... and made of ice.

That is positively terrifying. This should have Pit Trap's ability.

Anyone play Candyland and remember that awesome purple square that's very early on in the path?

Gemstone Mine does have three counters though, and the Ravnica bounce land trick can be done with It just as well, except it also works for other things. It lacks a normal mana production ability, though. It is ALMOST strictly better.
The Vivid land cycle always taps for colored mana, but comes into play tapped, and has only 2 counters. I think the Vivids are usually better than Gemstone Mine. A simple Amulet of Vigor breaks them in comparison to half the color-tapping lands out there. A few are better still, but the Vivids are Excellent.

How cute is the flavor for this card? Fragile ice bridge allows only one passage across - then... Crack!
