better than vanilla, but unless you are playing against kamigawa block or changelings you are out of luck. also, considering there is a grand total of 8 ninjas, you are still screwed.
This card can be used as a free sacrifice for an effect of your choice though, such as any enter the graveyard triggers. So it does have some use.

i like this card. Perfectly average for a 1/1 cmc 1 card, and neat flavor text. Only issue i have with it is it being uncommon; there are so many uncommons, in even this set, at you would rather see in a booster pack.
Also, all black decks need SOMETHING to sacrifice... sac engine based decks don't function if all your creatures are absolutely precious to your strategy on the battlefield.... need some filler for any good deck
