New rules kill all cool sac effects. I still prefer Mogg Fanatic for versatility though.

should have a higher rank then then 2.7. new rules may have weakend this card but its still a great 1 drop and the fact thats its a black 1 drop is evan better. its ability makes it handy and its a spirit which is a playable tribal with the right build.

Eh, until Death Cultist and later Fume Spitter came out this guy was rather good fun in my sacrifice deck. Chump a big thing, sac and take 1 life off them. Very annoying for opponents, especially when you had cards that could frequently pull back multiple creatures from the graveyard.

Yeah, he does sorta suck now in comparison to a lot of things, but he's in no way a bad one-drop.
