Curse turns the creature it enchants into a 6/5 Red Trampler Penguin, and when the creature goes to the graveyard the Curse returns to play enchanting a new creature.
Only confusing because of the way it is worded.

the only thing I didn't understand is if it enchants a new creature when it comes back into play or if it comes back into play as a creature, also does the fire penguin creature get controled by you or controler of the creature it enchants? if it's the former than the latter this card could get dangerous if you run out of your own creatures to put it on.
sometimes I wish un- cards got rulings.

I think "confuse" refers to pokemon, which turned the pokemon upside down to signify confusion.

I believe that, when you cast this, you flip the Penguin upside-down and place its rules text over the rules text of the enchanted creature.

CarZn, I think you're right...I think this is a pokemon reference XD But yes, you put the fire-penguin text box over the text box of the enchanted dude.
All I can think of is that R&D must put their auras on opposing creatures way different than us mere mortals.

So... Is it cast as an enchantment, or as a creature? Does Negate counter it, or does Essence Scatter counter it? Does it make enchanted creature into a 6/5, or. . . I'm confused. This card murders MTG syntax.

Does this card turn the creature red, make it red in addition to its colors, or not change its colors at all? Because when the aura is replacing the bottom half of the creature, the top half (including mana cost and part of the card frame) is still there.

Is this a precursor to or a parody on FPM (Fire Penguin Master, card creator)? EDIT Why am I being downgraded it was an honest question?

you know, this seems like it would be interesting in a real consept. Aura's or some enchantment card that have no or little, or even harmful effects to the creature it is attached to, but when the creature dies, the enhancement comes back into play as a creauture :D

Hmm. I wonder if this could count as a Curse card?

This makes WAY more sense after reading the FAQTIWDAWCC: http://www.wizards.com/magic/tcg/article.aspx?x=magic/faq/unhinged

Maybe it should say it confuses its owner, instead of the enchanted creature?

Well, as soon as MTG defines what "consumes, and confuses" are, I will tell you exactly what this card does!
But if you want to play with it, you need some house rules as to what consumes and confuses are. We can only assume that its flipping the card somehow, or else the creature part would be useless.
So when you enchantment a creature, you consume it and it ceases to exist. When Curse of the Fire Penguin leaves play, the enchanted creature gos into its owners graveyard. The confuse part just means to flip fire penguin. So, you enchant a creature, that creature gos away and you flip Fire Penguin getting a 6/5 trample. When fire penguin dies, put the enchanted creature in its owners graveyard and return Fire Penguin to its owners hand.
At least this is how I would do it. They want you to come up with your own method :D

That fighter person looks rather distraught, he probably realised he can't wield his weapon with flippers.

Since this is the most obvious reading of how to use this card... here:
Simply put this Enchantment (upside down) over the lower half of the card being Enchanted. The enchanted card is now: {Original card's name at time of enchantment} {Original card's casting cost at time of enchantment} {Original card's color at time of enchantment} {Original card's artwork at time of enchantment} Creature-Penguin Set: Unhinged - Rare Trample When this creature is put into a graveyard from play, return Curse of the Fire Penguin from your graveyard to play. Artist: Matt Thompson 6/5
Effectively, all of the card below the artwork becomes the upside-down portion of Curse of the Fire Penguin.
