Well, compared to Nightmare at least it has a more useful creature subtype of Human Wizard, there aren't too many Nightmare or Horse decks out there... still doesn't justify running this instead of Nightmare since most Wizard tribal decks focus more on control. At least the ones i've seen.

I was going to order singles of this card just because I wanted some, but holy crap, they go for about $5-$10! I don't get it. Serra Angel is equally sexy and more useful, but can usually be had for around $0.50. What gives?

For the cost, this card seems to be pretty solid, considering Nightmare can die to Armageddon, or land destruction, if there's enough of it. This girl is always out of Bolt range, but her power still grows/decreases, which is what I'm mainly after. She does lack Flying, though. Or any form of evasion. But considering EDH, I'm pretty glad this card exists. Nightmare, Korlash, and this... who doesn't like three creatures that get buffed from Swamps? More things to benefit from my Liliana of the Dark Realms, if she survives! Both cards are better in different situations, but I find both to be quite solid, and worth a spot in some decks.
