I love this card. I think it would be a great Core Set reprint. There isn't much if anything that is simply "Destroy target creature" in any format, let alone Standard, even in Black. It feels so big and powerful, yet balanced to me.

Too expensive for what it does and it has a drawback. give me swords or path to exile any day.

Considering swords and path are a bit too good really, this ain't that bad. Infect might like it.

I'd run it in mono-white EDH. Not many straight kill spells at all in white.
