Wow! Didn't expect to see this amidst the other lame Alaborn creatures. The effect is good because it's immediate. Also great for soldier decks, but it's really a sacrificial limb.
Oh my God! Valor Made Real actually works on a creature! Wow! Oh, wait... Still a situational and bad card and this creature is poor replacement for a better removal spell.
Quick question... Any other cards with guns in them that you guys are aware of? It looks so odd to me.

Good effect, but its the artwork that standouts out.
I mean what the fart is a gun that advanced doing in magicthegathering. Something like goblin pee-shooter is the closest that one should get.
Also in accordance with storyline, i'm pretty sure any old fire mage could make the powder explode prematurely, as gunpowder isn't as effective a weapon in the mtg universe as it is in real life.

@ digit Could be beter then a removal, depends on the situation
A) If your strategy is built around valor made real B) If the creature u want to nuke has shroud C) Stays on the board and can stall ur opponet. He wont attack with his 7/7 but he will attack with his 2/2's. Thats why u have other blockers. D) With removal, you have to choose right away. With this you can change ur mind. E) Belongs to the Soldier Tribe. F) Can be enchanted, reanimated, equipped, targeted, and of course, Swing.

Portal 2 had a soldier theme with guns in the art. Strange but true.

belongs in a fast deck with lords. what makes her interesting vs destruct/remove spells is that she can attack, if shes among a few other small creatures like the allies that are soldiers and some honor of the pure. Use with proclamation of rebirth and ranger of eos and you have a deck

Personally, I prefer the identical Loyal Sentry, at least because of its lack of a totally non-thematic-for-Magic gun. You can use a card like this to intimidate your opponent: they will play differently if they know you can blow up their big beastie if they attack with it. Now, that can have both its advantages and disadvantages, but that much is really in how you play. Plus, as others have pointed out, it's a lot more reusable than other cheap White removal like Swords to Plowshares, for example. Anyway, 5/5 for the card, but -1 for the art, bringing it to a 4/5.

Run for your lives, it's Sarah Palin in armor!
Seriously though, this isn't a bad card. It's exactly the same as Loyal Sentry, except that card is a rare and this is uncommon..

@Hunted Wumpus: Alaborn Musketeer and this one are the only Magic cards with guns. It's strange that guns only give 1 point of power...

I feel like the art combined with her ability screams of sexism.

I wonder what kind of gun that is. Consider, for instance, that it can take down an entire scute mob.
She has a sword and a rifle. This chick is all set for the Ren Fair/Civil War re-enactment this weekend.

Like with Loyal Sentry, you can return it to your hand after it blocks and it'll still kill the opposing creature.
Also, give it flying and it'll kill Emrakul by shooting it in the face. That's gotta count for something. Seriously, just floats up there and unloads lead into the plane-devouring monstrosity until it keels over. Then presumably dies from badass poisoning.

Apparently, black powder shotguns can take down Eldrazi. Love it!

....But why does Tina Turner have a gun?
Now that's just absurd.
