I miss the days when card flavour text told a little story as part of the much larger tale of the set arc. See Invasion's Obliterate, as well.

Nowadays flavour text is just trying so hard to be as cool as possible to 12 year olds. Sigh.

@Wulfsten

I disagree. While it's nice to tell some of the story with the cards, it's also pretty stupid when you have a lot of cards with flavor text that has nothing to do with the card itself. Even the picture and art of this card isn't very related to it's ability (compare to the innistrad version where the art shows and flavor text depict a human experimenting on a werewolf to study it).

A solid card on something like Silhana Ledgewalker or Invisible Stalker, which can dodge spot removal and blockers. The other route to go is for creatures like Gelectrode, which can net you a ton of cards with the proper support.

Just slap it onto Niv-Mizzet the Firemind and you win the game.

This card's flavor text and art doesn't evoke "Curiosity?"

"she couldn't ignore a nagging suspicion..." what exactly does that mean to you?

And KrosanGardener...

I'm surprised that no one else here has noted that this and Niv-Mizzet(fire mind) together make infinite damage and card draw.

This card's art and flavor text fit the name and ability.

Jilt, on the other hand...
