This is probably the worst dragon ever printed.

At least it can't be provoked.

5/5 flier for six is never going to be bad... but with the printing of baneslayer angel, this card is best forgotten.

Why is it white, anyway?

5/5 for art and flavor text, 1/5 for its abilities. Average that out to 3/5.

How exactly is this white? A "greedy", "vain" dragon that requires a sacrifice to be used offensively. Sounds black or red to me. Heck, I'd put it in green over white, the flying would at least be welcome there.
And don't blame this guy's current level of suckage on power creep, he was predated by the (nonstrictly) superior Pearl Dragon.

Who would EVER want to use this card??? (Even when it was originally printed!!!) Maybe if it were a 10/10 with flying AND trample, it would be worth losing a precious land for every turn that you attack with it.

And I agree, TPmanW. There is nothing "white" about this dragon. It definitely seems black, or red, to me, as well.

KnightLord77: If it were a 10/10, it wouldn't be a "maybe".

You guys don't get it, do you?

Angels might, sometimes, when they're ordered to by God anyway, care about humans. Maybe.
Dragons? Demons? Behemoths? Hydras? Since when was it THEIR job to ensure YOUR victory?

oh, I see-- you're a planeswalker. You're special.

Dragons don't care two cents about that. Summoning giant creatures is impressive because most of them don't like being summoned!

Welcome to Advanced Dungeons and Dragons: 101! (This isn't the Girl Scouts- you should leave your deckboxes at home and try grabbing some REAL weapons. Preferably ones not made of cardboard.)
Forget everything else you ever thought you knew about dragons, and repeat after me:
"I am a weak, tasty human."
"Dragons eat nerds like me. All the time."
"I should be THANKING Wizards that this is ONLY a Dungeons and Dragons creature, NOT a Dungeons and Dragons land" (like Tomb of Horrors. *shudder*)

It could have been worse, people. It could have been much, much worse.
Tomb of Horrors: Legendary Awful Place To Be
Tomb of Horrors enters the battlefield tapped and does not untap at the beginning of your upkeep.
When Tomb of Horrors enters the battlefield, put a 10/10 Indestructible Hexproof demilich token with flying, haste and double strike into play. Target opponent gains control of it, then chooses all permanents you control, and destroys them. Then exile target hand attached to your arm and all cards it is holding, all the clothing you're wearing, and shuffle your graveyard into your library. Do Not pass Go, Do Not collect 200 dollars. You cannot lose the game due to having 0 life. You cannot gain life. You cannot draw cards. You cannot lose due to poison. You cannot win the game.
T: You lose the game. (If you ever find out how to tap this, you WILL, just to make it stop. Assume your opponent has cheated this under your control using Mindslaver and shenanikers.)

I stumbled across this card while searching for 6 cost Dragons that would work well in a Commander deck. This horrible card wouldn't work in any deck! It seems like some ghastly tribute to Elder Land Wurm, an equally useless 5/5 white "dragon" that couldn't attack until some absurd condition was met. Elder Land Wurm, while horrible, at least had the excuse that it was printed when Magic was very young and was in a set surrounded by other terrible creatures. There's no excuse for this pile of drek. Even by this point, a 5/5 flyer for 4WW would have been considered "decent" - slapping a killer drawback on it makes it useless. Had it been a 6/6, it still would have been useless, but at least it could be sort of justified. Worst. Dragon. Ever.

One of those cards that had a good concept, but fell apart in the execution phase.

What the hell did I just read...?

As for this card, I did a double take or two when I read it. It's that bad. As others have said, you cannot even blame this cards awful-ness on power creep. It's just plain bad, even for a time. And it's a rare...

Wizards, I am dissapoint.

Fun fact: This is currently the lowest rated dragon type card on gatherer.

Crucible of Worlds changes this card from horrendous to merely sub-par. And that's the greatest compliment I can give this card.

Ignore my previous comment. For some reason, I thought sacrificing indestructible cards wouldn't send them to the graveyard. However, there is an interesting combo you can use with this card. If you have any life-giving mana like Seraph Sanctuary, you can sacrifice it, then use Sun Titan to bring it back so you could be gaining life each turn.
