This is a bad card to have in an aura heavy block.

Alright Zephid, just thought that I would warn you about the new guy in town. His name is Sphinx of Jwar Isle and he's gunning for your spot. Best of luck to you.
There's a good argument for power creep - but this is a pretty weak card to use as a comparison.

@HairlessThoctar: There was INTENTIONAL power creep from Wizards for creatures during Lorwyn and moving forward. They realized that Legacy/Vintage was dominated by combos and non-creature strategies, and wanted to see creatures become relevant again. Plus, everyone likes bigger and more efficient creatures; the problem was in the beginning creatures were thought to be much more powerful than they really were/are, and most were overcosted. Jwar is fair, this is just overcosted.

I like the artwork, and another creature for illusion tribal.

Power Creep; This vs. Morphling. That's better. We didn't just jump from this guy to sphinx.
If anything, I think this stinker is a pretty good argument FOR power creep. Sometimes I really think power creep is necessary to keep the game interesting. THis guy is pretty boring.

My toe hurts. I had a relevant comment about this guy but I passed out a little and now my toe hurts.

Proof positive of a power creep.
