I love the old school white cards that have stain glass window influence. Very nice

Awesome art, but I prefer Lashknife Barrier.

Lovely artwork indeed, but if you plan on using the effect to prevent damage on you i advise using Sunspring Expedition instead, which is a one-drop enchantment as well and generally takes about three turns to gain 8 life.

Still, I don't understand the reasons for this low rating. It looks like a fairly good card to me. Am I missing something?

Verse counters. So flavourful.

I don't get why this is so low, combined with proliferate it's pretty solid. Seems underpowered other wise. But this could be the difference between winning a game and losing, in the right deck, built to make use of it over a period of time. (4 player, commander, etc, etc.)

Honestly the reason it is terrible is that while it messes with creature combat in a powerful way (albeit very eventually) unlike most of the other mentioned cards.... the fact is it isn't ever a surprise and unless your opponent forgets the thing with counters being put on it rather obviously every turn... but yeah verse counters are a nice touch.
