@jbenson: common misunderstanding. Look at it this way: Forests have the ability ": Add one to your mana pool". Check on the old cards, you'll see.

Why is this so poorly rated? turn 5 play this and have three mana availible......two of your choice.
next turn 8 mana! and that's with basic lands

I love this card. I play a big bulky green beast deck and this card gives me a definite boost in mana thats criticl to such decks.
Not to mention its effectivness increses with multi color decks because you can get any comonation of collors.

i prefer arbor elf to argothian elder, its cheaper for one and i prefer to enchant one land with a bunch of enchantments like this if i have 4 arbor elves, its like tapping each for 3 mana, and if i have 4 copies of this enchantment on it, its like tapping each for 9 with 8 of any color of my choosing, cept then they destroy my land....i almost got my helix pinnacle out......

In response to you casting the last of those enchantments, I Boomerang that land. Now you're down a land drop and 5 other cards. Not trying to harsh your buzz, just be careful putting all of your eggs in one basket.
Also, in mono green, try Overgrowth for {1} cheaper.

Overdue for a reprint, in a Duel Deck if not core set or expert-level expansion.

I have a question that has come up with this card and others that use similar language. When it says "add 2 mana", does it mean add 2 mana INSTEAD OF JUST ONE that the land normally gives, or does it mean add 2 IN ADDITION TO the one that the land already gives?
Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.
