His ability to give first strike is perfect late in the game when an opponent can't take a heavy hit and has to block or if you play a card that forces opponent to block. This has one quit a few for me.
@Jokergius I think you read mentor wrong. rules text on him says "Red creatures you control have first strike." He is red, and so that includes himself in the FS getting.

I think think this card is better than Bloodmark Mentor since it can give ALL your creatures First strike when they attack. But also that's a downside since it doesn't give you ALL around first strike, aside from the mentor's ability. But also, the mentor doesn't give ITSELF first strike.

Anyone else read this as Akki Coalfinger at first? I was excited, a goblin would make an interesting Bond villain to say the least.
But I agree that the mentor would be a better choice, if for no other reason than in a goblin deck you want all of your creatures attacking. The on this seems counter to his creature type. I'd rather it be or even .
