Could be such a great card if just it didn't have a triple-blue mana cost. The body could have been greater in exchange for that at least. Of course, in an affinity deck it still means getting card advantage and 3/4 flyer for most of the time, but you have better fillers for that anyways. Sigh, maybe i'm just disappointed because it's more balanced than most other affinity cards...the amount of colorless mana could have been reduced, though.

this is the way affinity should've been done. with a minimum cost of color mana

Yeah, but even affinity cards were given more colored mana costs, Mycosynth Lattice is in the same set to come in and break them again

I don't see why this isn't played more, I seriously never see it. Serendib Djinn - drawback + card draw = good card.

Dx gah, somewhat wishing this was an Artifact to. One of the only Affinity cards I can look at and say "this isn't as broken as many other cards" without slapping myself in the face for laying to myself. Sure, it would be (in my deck) "Put the top 3 cards from the top of your deck to your hand." for but that's better then I can come out for on turn 4 and give all Artifacts in your hand a Cost xD

Come on, it has chrome scales! Why isn't it an artifact?

They didn't have colored artifact tech back then, yet. But it's now blatantly obvious that Mirrodin Block would have been vastly improved, maybe even FIXED, if it had a few Sarcomite Myrs in it.
Affinity is dangerous to put on anything that doesn't have miminum colored cost- yet, you can't help feel that you'd really like to put 'Affinity for Artifacts' ON an artifact. Sarcomite Myr-type cards solve both those problems.
You could have a whole cycle of interesting 'Affinity for Artifacts' weak-bodied artifact creatures that require only 1 colored mana and do something mildly interesting but mostly just color-pie flavorful to represent how on Mirrodin, the influence of the Suns on artifacts results in nothing really being colorless....
