Awesome for early in the game, I always end up needing swampwalk seeing as how I usually find myself up against a Black opponent.

A decent card. Needs Shroud or some other keyword instead of swampwalk. Honestly, why this card has two evasion abilities like this is beyond me. If it had island walk I'd understand since blue has a lot of fliers. Its not even that good against black players considering how much spot removal they'd have for this little guy...It is a green flier though.

Such a flavorful little card. Good art too. Why two evasion abilities? I think the design considerations were a) green shouldn't get a 1/1 flier for , but b) a vanilla 1/1 flier for would be weak and bland. Shroud wouldn't help the creature at all btw, as the only way for it to do any damage is with Rancor or other pump effects.
From an eternal perspective, Scryb Sprites and Silhana Ledgewalker are arguably better options, but I'm sure this is a fine card in Tempest draft.

All sugar sticks have swampwalk, obviously. And this is a sugar stick with wings.

Why does this card pop up when one does a Gatherer search for Dragon? It is most definitely not a Dragon, nor does it have the word "Dragon" in its text box. I am soooooooo confused by this.

Hey, uhm, jal_reyn, look at its name. Bayou DRAGONfly. It's got the word "dragon" in its name; that's why you're getting it in a search for dragons.

1/1 with evasion for 2 -> basic
1/1 with TWO evasions for 2 -> better
1/1 with two evasion, amazing name, artwork and flavor text -> at whatever price GREAT!
