2/5. It seems solid, but really you want this kind of effect at instant speed. And most would rather kill the creature than just reduce its power by 2. That means Nameless Inversino is clearly superior...as is something like Terror (except, obviously, against black and/or artifact decks). There is really no reason for effects like this to be auras in the first place though...instant (but until end of turn) effects are much nicer for black, who should want to deal with these threats immediately, suddenly and unexpectedly.

Yeah, I'd rather play Nameless Inversion, Last Laugh, or Smother.

Grasp of Darkness really makes this look better. The only time this would be better, if they have an x/5 creature to make it an x/3 until its removed. But at sorcery speed so....
