squirrel decks are the most amazing thing since kithkin for letting your opponent know he just got killing ankles first lol.

Great flavor, but this card could easily backfire.

Ah, the first (as far as I can recall) Squirrel generator. It wouldn't be the last.

It wouldn't be the best either. You need to kind of build your deck around this guy or you could easily lose him (her) when your opponent has more mana available than you. But who cares? If you're running this card, you're going for style points, not (just) for victory. Heck, it's worth being overrun by what should have been your own squirrels just for the stories it lets you tell.

The main benefit is the fact that your deck almost always benefits much more from the tokens you get than theirs does. Squirrel Mob, for example, would be devastating were you to use this successfully. I'm not trying to say she's the best way to get your tokens by any means, but she still fits quite nicely into a squirrel deck, and I don't believe the backfire is as threatening as you may think.

And here we have yet another deranged squirrel breeder.

I abuse this card with Ashnod's Altar. Sac it for two mana useful for two squirrel tokens. Also, if you have any other squirrel tokens out, you basically sac each squirrel to double your number of squirrels!

Is there a way to get Wizards to Errata this with the Join Forces keyword?
I think it would go nicely along with Acorn Catapult.

It's okay if your opponent has a few more squirrels than you because once you cast Overrun, a few extra blockers wont save your opponent from death.

@Kreetn: With Join Forces cards, all players get to pay mana, and then all players get something corresponding to the total amount of mana paid - even if they didn't pay anything themselves. With this card, each player pays an amount of mana and gets a number of squirrels equal to the mana they paid - and not the total amount of mana paid. There's a big difference, so no, it shouldn't be errata'ed to have the Join Forces keyword :)

Compare Lord of the Pit to Liege of the Pit.

You have no clue where I'm going with this?

Lord of the Hollows: 2GG

Join Forces X- When Lord of the Hollows enters the battlefield, each player may pay any nonzero amount of mana. Those players may put X 1/1 Squirrel tokens onto the battlefield, where X is the amount of mana paid this way.

Join Forces needs to be directly errata'd to disallow zero to be paid and still get the reward. It messes up the mechanic. It's a functional change, but sometimes changing the functionality of cards is good.

Hmm, I wonder how she would be in a green land destruction deck? Especially on that uses Smokestack. Hopefully your opponent will be down on lands and the stack will only be making him sacrifice more lands - meanwhile, you can sacrifice the Liege to it on your upkeep, when all your lands have untapped, and get a boatload of squirrels. These should be plenty to overrun a foe who's struggling to keep a permanent down, and also provide lots of sacrifice fodder.
