Terra stomper isnt strictly better though. Imagine a scenario where you want your creature to deal 8 damage to you.

6 mana for an 8/8 trampler? the draw back is minor in a green deck, but the fact is there are better 6 drops to be had in green. 3.5!
on a side note: plays hell with clone/controll magic type spells
