What with this reprint and Mana Confluence, I can see this city's price dropping soon.

It seems very strange to me that this was included over Godless Shrine.

Why is this in a 2 color deck? Should have been marsh flats

I like the fact that we got a reprint with this. It would have been nice to get 7th Edition's artwork on black border in a modern frame. But Modern Masters' artwork, although (obviously) already available like that, is still great.

But in regard of its function in the Event Deck, putting this in two color deck is just ridiculous.

This would have been the perfect opportunity to reprint Marsh Flats. Were they afraid this deck wouldn't get into the hands of new players that plan on getting into Modern if they would have included fetchies instead?

True, the retail price of 75$ covering two fetchies, a Sword of Feast and Famine and Elspeth, Knight-Errant would have made this a good deal with 56 other decent cards as a free gift, so this could indeed have happened.
So they maybe would have been forced to adjust the price further up in an attempt to not step on any collector's toes by messing with the secondary market, and didn't want to do that.

But still, come on.      The prices of fetchlands are so bloated. It won't hurt to bring more of them into circulation.

And if the price of fetchies drop, the price of your average Modern deck drops significantly as well.
And with that, the appeal for new players to start playing Modern increases.

Don't be shy Wizards, just reprint those fetchlands already!
(The original, even more bloated, original, ally-colored cycle from Onslaught included.)
M15 Fetchies. Make it happen.
