Though it's mana-heavy, it would be a 3-4-of in a good poison deck. Though now that we have Virulent Sliver, all old poison cards are pretty much obsolete...

I really don't understand the DCI legality rules. Why is this legal in Freeform, Prismatic, Tribal Wars Legacy, Classic, Singleton 100 and Commander when Jade Monolith, which has been printed more recently, isn't?
